Test record templates

In DWP, product teams need to evidence the accessibility testing that has been done. To do this, you can use our test record templates.

The latest versions of these templates, as well as templates for other software, are available internally. We’ve made them available here for anyone to use.

Important These test record templates are provided for everyone as a guide to help with accessibility testing. Completing these tests does not guarantee your product or service will be conformant to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

How to use the test record templates

  1. Download the following templates and use the steps to test to carry out assistive software testing.
  2. Once you’ve completed your tests, give your document a meaningful name, such as {name of service}-macos-voiceover-test-record.xls
  3. Retain your test record as evidence of your testing.
  4. Send your test records to the Accessibility Standards and Strategy team in DWP.

WCAG 2.2 Manual Checks

Use the WCAG 2.2 Manual Checks document to record your overall WCAG conformance. You can use your findings from assistive software testing and automated checks to inform your results.
